Big Pharma Companies May Launch Low Priced Second Brands For Ayushman Bharat Scheme

In the latest development, in a move to bring huge relief to the patients, all the multi multinational companies that include GlaxoSmithKline Pharma, Pfizer and Abbott propose to bring low-cost medicine. This medicine that they will bring is said to be the second brand of the products which can be introduced to the government’s flagship scheme named as Ayushman Bharat health Insurance.

It has been said that the US India Business Council (USIBC) now asking the government to create the policy provisions to allow the launch of Second brands for all types of introduction to the state-run insurance scheme. The agency has asked that the government to safeguard the policy mechanism in such a way that it will exempt from price referencing.

This type of suggestion is said to be the part of the list as it measures with the proposed by USIBC. It includes the screening of the camps for identifying patients as well as assisting the government in national health stack. It is like an ambitious plan which can be considered by the government to digitally store of the health records of all the Indians by the year 2022.

It has been observed that in a high-level delegation which is from the council met officials in the national health agency (NHA). This agency is responsible for implementing of Ayushman Bharat which was launched last month by Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi.

This is known as Modicare, and it is like the world’s largest healthcare scheme with Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM JAY) which is said to be the insurance programme which is catering to tertiary care. This new insurance scheme which was launched by PM Modi during the last month in Jharkhand is said to cover near to 50 crore beneficiaries from 10.74 crores which are deprived of the families.

As per the council, it has suggested that the integration of this Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhu Pariyojana (PMBJP) is said to supply some generic medicines which are around 50 percent discount to strengthen Ayushman Bharat.

As per the senior executive, who was said to be the part of the delegation said that that they have suggested about the launch of this second brand which is said to be designed for the Ayushman Bharat Program. In this, if the government provides this type of policy support, then they can ensure the prices as it is not as the reference for further price fixation.
